hello

i wonder what happens when u get banned? is it just the account? then u can just make another? or ur ip gets banned as well? can u be banned from specific sections? or its just media central ?

forum ban... is like username ban... they won't ban ur IP...unless u hack their server...

I think you can IP ban b/c i think it happen to one member before..but he wasn't an active member...or maybe I'm making up stuff.

a while ago there existed programs to mask IP's for like downloading from rapidshare, megaupload,....
so you can download a lot of files after eachother without subscribing to a Premium account.. dunno if it still works.. but then the users can still register.

Well of course there are workarounds but if someone has to do so many things to visit a forum it probably means that they really love hk-mtv so the easiest way would be to behave and avoid getting banned LOL

As for details on how you can get banned, this information is none of what I'm able to provide but I believe that admins and mods are here to promote the forum and contribute to the well-being of this community. Even though we try our best to answer your questions, this topic is a bit out of scope so I don't think I'll elaborate more on this.

LOL? doesnt it block the IP from your provider itself instead your router's IP? coz that is changing but your IP normally stays the same.. otherwise you won't have to pay for fixed IP huh?

to my knowledge.....u can limit a person into certain section such as person A can't go into that section at all or cannot see that section at all......user name ban which is plain n simple.....person with that user name will never exist after ban.....IP ban which is mentioned above, no matter what u do with that same IP, they will never be able to log or sign on to hk-mtv again.....

if u have sympatico... u can nvr get banned... they give u a new IP everytime u unplug and plug in ur modem... XD

standard sympatico uses dynamic IP unless you actually pay for a static address

<-- DSL. Once I restart my routher, it'll login the provider and the provider supplies me a different IP.

yes u can ban the area that guys livs in as well.. example 172.314.241.* then all ip who starts with those numbers get banned,

And that's when I just proxy from Toronto. Lol, try banning me there w/ a wild card. Stop giving them ideas. Lol, they have too much power already.lol
