HELP COMPETITION

Hii im in this competion right now lock in a building til tomorrow 14:00 swedish time trying to solve a real case !
now i need your help !

A quite small city here in sweden is building a new sportarena! (around 40mililon USD)
It will take 3 years til its finished. now our case is about how we can get sponsors and what kind of event/activities we shall/can arrange in that arena.

you can host games in the arena
such as for example
if you have a ice rink.. u can allow local hockey teams to play weekly and charge em for rental of the rink...

same goes for soccer / footballl whatever..
also arenas.. are normally used as stadiums for concerts... big events etc~

Sponsors will depend on what kind of events, how big the crowds will be, how much exposure they will get etc..... but basically what's in it for the sponsors?

Also, try to get local sponsors first because they'll want to do something for the community since that's where they'll get their business from.

its not an international sporting arena right???
anyway...maybe start with companies that are related to sporting in local community or even big companies...say ummm company X..

Company X sells Y products...
you say ---> become our sponsor and we will help promote your company and its products etc etc this is an excellent opportunity for a win-win solution.
another example....
say if there's 2 different soft drink companies A & B...you can ask say B to be your sponsor....this would include selling ONLY B's products and not A's plus you would promote around the arena

in terms of activities....they dont always have to be sports right? in aust, we have all kinds of groups hiring sporting arenas for all purposes, teddy bear's picnic (fundraising), bbQ's, australia's biggest morning tea, easter show, etc...
maybe even like a fun fair for the whole community...charge them and also a way for whole community to venture the arena, even if they are not playing sport.

to win we needed a bullet proof plan on NOT loosing money, but anyway.. it was verry fun !
