WinAVI Problem

Hey,..wondering if anyone can help. I've downloaded some tv series' in rmvb and i'm trying to use WinAVI to convert it to DVD. The video is fine, but i get no audio. I am using WinAVI version 8.0 and the rmvb file that i downloaded works fine (video and audio) when i play it with Real Player. Any ideas on why there's no audio when i try to convert it to DVD using WinAVI?

is this your first time using winavi? I stick with version 7.1 since its pretty stable. Other versions I have tried always had some sort of mess up

i hv 7.7 but i only convert to VCD

then use another program to make it to a DVD, gum meh 10 episodes in one disk lor! =D i think if to DVD directly it wont fit many episodes in one disk ...

actually that is what i do also. convert to vcd and then use tmpegenc dvd author to make it dvd

yeah, it's my first time using it,..if i convert it to VCD first then what program do i use to convert it to DVD before burning it?,..or do i just burn as VCD then?,..if you put 10 episodes on a DVD then wouldn't the quality be worse than puttin 5 episodes (most the people i know put 5 episodes per DVD)

i use tsunami to convert to DVD-
um..quality worse.. maybe.. but i use the DVD quali to convert.
the tv-rm will b siu siu blurry

ahhh alrlight,..but is there a way to use WinAVI an convert it to DVD with not only the video working, but the audio as well?

Or this this...this is what I do
Use UltraRM program to convert .rmvb into .avi
than use Nero create DVD -> and burn. you can fit 7 ep into one DVD disc and quality is still good.

ok, so i've tried 4 different converting programs an all of them only converts the video an not the audio when converting RMVB to DVD,..so that didn't work so i tried convertin to AVI using WinAVI an both the video an audio works!!! an then i tried usin tmpgenc to convert the AVI file to DVD which also works!!!,..but i just did it with 1 file to test if it actually would work, an now i'm just wondering,..what are the settings i should put when converting the files from RMVB to AVI using WinAVI an also when converting AVI to DVD with tmpgenc so that i can have 5 files per dvd? also, it took me around 15min to convert RMVB to AVI with WinAVI, an around 30min to convert AVI to DVD with tmpgenc for the 1 file,..is that normal?
