Hi guys i'm getting my Novice road test soon and i'm just wondering if any1 has any tips? I haven't had an instructor but i'm pretty confident with my driving. Does any1 know any tips other then shoulder checks? And it might not matter but i'm in vancouver. Thank you.

Chill out when you drive.
Don't get over nervous.
Watch your speed, but at the same time watch where you're going.
Watch out for road signs, solid lines, dotted lines, stop signs, cross walks, lights.
Stop fully during stop sign.
Stop fully behind the line before you turn right at red light.

you are confident enough to take the exam without an instructor? there are some things that you should do that normal driving wouldn't, and usually a driving instructor could point those out. things like stopping twice if you are turning right from a red light, you have to stop once before the line then move forward a bit and stop again to check for traffic. There are also other oral tests the examiner can test you, such as hazards. These you have to tell your examiner there are hidden driveways, pedestrians, traffic lights, road conditions, etc.
but hey, if you are confident, give it a shot. just don't run over anybody

best to get a driving instructor to do an hour or so... most likely they'll take you to that area to familiarize yourself, and they usually give tips and hints about what the examiner will make you do and show you the actual routes (though there are many variations)
uh...yeah, instructor is good to refresh yourself, especially in certain instances where you'd think everything is fine and dandy until you see them ticking boxes on your score sheet.
and... once again.... SHOULDER CHECK UNTIL YOUR NECK HURTS... I learned the hard way.
