you have to learn to project your voice unfortunately

the reason why i sound like my rap has so much energy/attitude behind it cuz when i first tried to do show they made me do no mic and no music so its all about voice, plus when you perform its not as perfect setting as infront of a computer so you need your voice to dictate the flow of the song, and energy etc

turn the music really loud and sing with it, as the music becomes louder you tend to sing louder with it. untill you are comfortable with it

maybe u should watch idol's audition clips or so ...
id recommend "Kiss me" :D the first verse there. sing is calm, nice, wan yau... but strong. thats how my fav @ swedish idol did on her audition :D

I've listen to the most of your songs lah..:P that "because I'm a girl" was good, because u sing in 4 different languages, so I could compare..:P

But I find it sound good in all 4 languages..:P :P ...but I dunno korean, can't tell if it was good proununced or not...and I'm not good in mandarin either...but in my ears, it sounded good=P

think u should take a song with a language u know very good...chinese? english?...

BUt there are cons and pros to it. I think classics sound better acapella, but if you can't pull off an acapella then it might be kinda...not so good. And a con would be that classics are sung so many times that theres a lot to compare your renidition to. =( but all in a nutshell, GOOD LUCK!

sing any song you feel the melody the most... like the song that touches you and makes you wanna sing the most

even if that song dont suit your voice exactly or something... the charisma and expression from a person's voice cannot be trained, if they like what they hear they can fix the chinks and cracks in the singing so to say, but its more important you got the core of it down and right
